On Wednesday, 12th September, the official event of the European co-financed Frisco 2.1 project was held in Podčetrtek in cooperation with Slovenian Water Agency and Croatian Waters. In the coming months, the partners will modernize and upgrade the Vonarje dam and thus ensure a lower flood risk of the area along the bordering river Sotla.
On Wednesday, 12th September 2018, the Slovene and Croatian representatives of the state institutions for water governance and other guests gathered in the frame of FRISCO 2.1 project in Podčetrtek with the aim of providing a smaller flood risk in the Solta river basin. The Slovenian Water Agency and Croatian Waters will modernize and upgrade the Vonarje dam within the framework of the bilateral European project FRISCO 2.1. The total value of the project is 1.678.525,00, of which 85% is financed by the European Union from the European Regional Development Fund under the objective of European Territorial Cooperation INTERREG VA Slovenia-Croatia for the period 2014-2020, and 15% from partners’ funds.
